This painting jumps forward in my storytelling, a more recent work that I felt compelled to do after the death of an artist that I aspire to.
This tree is on our property, it was the only one when we purchased the land. I have come to look at it as our tree of life. It survived the Black Summer fires and has thrived. Of all the many birds that frequent our property, none choose to nest, it is rather a place of community, comfort and protection. Such a magnificent tree that exudes positive energy.

There is so much dark in the world at the moment it’s hard to remember the light sometimes.
